The short version
Zeitfarer collects nothing. Everything you enter stays on your device: your profile, your trips, and the sleep you report. The app has no account and no login, and it works offline. The one exception is Apple's App Store. When you unlock Zeitfarer or restore a purchase, the app contacts the App Store to complete that step and nothing else.
What the app stores on your device
Only what you type in: an optional name, your typical sleep times, an optional age, your home and base airports, your chronotype and trip preferences, the flights and layovers you add, and the sleep you report along the way. If you use a sleep tracking device, you type in the number it showed you. Zeitfarer does not connect to your ring, your watch, or the Health app. The app also keeps two records of its own: whether your free trip has been used, and whether Zeitfarer is unlocked. All of this is saved in the operating system's standard on-device storage. Zeitfarer never sends it anywhere.
Unlocking Zeitfarer
Zeitfarer is unlocked with a one-time purchase made through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment. Zeitfarer never sees your Apple Account, your billing name, or your payment details. What the app receives from Apple is a signed record that the unlock belongs to your Apple Account, and it keeps that record on your device so it can check without asking again. The app contacts the App Store only to confirm that record: when you unlock, when you restore a purchase, and when it checks its own status on launch. Nothing you entered is sent with it. Apple's handling of purchases is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
What we collect
